S. Peter “Pete” Campbell II (Founder):
S. Peter "Pete" Campbell II, affectionately known as Pete, was the visionary behind Child of God Clothing. In 1998, he created the iconic “Child of God” logo, a bold statement of faith, identity, and belonging. For Pete, this was more than a brand; it was a movement to inspire and uplift people from all walks of life, reminding them of their worth and purpose.
Pete’s unwavering dedication to this mission was evident in every detail he designed and every idea he pursued. Whether through the early growth of the brand or his constant refinement of its vision, Pete’s passion for encouraging others to embrace their God-given identity never wavered.
Even during life’s challenges, Pete continued to innovate and build upon his dream. Sadly, he lost his battle with Colon Cancer November 7, 2024, but his legacy lives on through his children and Child of God Clothing. It is a true testament to his belief that we are all seen, loved, and called to live with purpose as children of God.
André “Dre” Campbell (Co-founder):
André Campbell has been a passionate advocate for Child of God Clothing, championing its mission to remind people of their identity and the love that calls them sons and daughters. Although André and his wife, Tanisha, supported the brand from its inception, his deeper connection began in 2017 during visits to Pete and Asharie’s home in California. Discovering boxes of Child of God T-shirts in their garage, André began wearing them daily—and hasn’t stopped since.
For over eight years, André’s consistent representation of the brand has sparked countless meaningful interactions. Whether traveling through airports, walking through big cities and arenas, or running errands, people of all ages and backgrounds have been drawn to the message. They’ve stopped him, called out to him, and even chased him down to affirm their shared identity as a Child of God. These encounters reinforce that the brand is more than clothing—it’s a conversation, a connection, and a visual antidote for modern times.
Today, André’s signature daily wear includes the classic heavyweight black hoodie with the white logo. Its profound impact continues to resonate deeply, reminding everyone it touches of their inherent worth, belonging, and shared identity as children of God.
Ashe Dale Stephen (Co-founder):
Ashe Dale Stephens is a co-founder of Child of God Clothing and a creative force whose support has never wavered since the brand’s inception. Present alongside S. Peter "Pete" Campbell II when the iconic logo was first designed in 1998, Dale has been a steadfast advocate for the brand’s mission to inspire faith, identity, and belonging.
With a father who was a skilled tailor, Dale inherited a sharp eye for materials and craftsmanship, which has become invaluable to Child of God Clothing. His understanding of detail and quality ensures that each design not only reflects the brand’s values but also stands out as a piece of timeless artistry.
As both a brand ambassador and a creative talent, Dale brings passion and purpose to everything he does. His contributions honor the vision of the brand’s early days while continuing to shape its future, ensuring that Child of God Clothing remains a powerful reminder of who we are and who we’re called to be.
